LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear members,
As the year draws to a close, I did not want to let these days pass without writing you a few lines in a warm and direct way, to wish you a very Happy Holiday Season and to thank you, for continuing to be part of GIPE.
2025 has been an intense year, with a great deal of work and also with moments that have affected us emotionally. In November we received the sad news of the passing of Mr. Miguel Garrido, my predecessor as President, a person full of energy and commitment who assumed the role in 2012 following the death of our founder and first President, Mr. Antonio Reina. Both left a profound mark on GIPE. My remembrance and respect go to them.
That said, I would also like to tell you how particularly satisfied and proud I feel of the great
team that makes up the GIPE Board of Directors. It is a highly involved, serious, and committed group, where each member contributes their own specialty and experience. Thanks to this joint effort, we have been able to move forward steadily throughout the year, always with the aim of offering real value to our members.
Among the main achievements and advances of 2025, I would like to highlight:
• The launch of the MASC department, focused on mediation in real estate matters, anticipating the new regulations that require mediation before resorting to the courts.
• The agreement with Zoddak, which allows members to access free professional tools, with the option to expand them according to their needs.
• The organization of high-level professional events, such as the conference held in Barcelona on Artificial Intelligence applied to the real estate sector, which received an excellent response.
• The continuous growth in new members, demonstrating that GIPE remains an attractive, useful, and well-recognized association within the sector.
• Our ongoing commitment to providing practical services, training, and legal support tailored to the daily reality of real estate professionals.
In addition, I would like to emphasize GIPE’s firm commitment to legality and the professionalization of the sector. In this regard, we are prepared to accompany and support our members who meet the requirements for registration in the Register of Real Estate Agents of the Regional Government of Andalusia.
On December 24, Law 5/2025 was published in the Official Gazette of the Government of Andalusia (BOJA), which comes into force on January 24, 2026, approving the creation of this mandatory Register for Real Estate Agents in Andalusia, although the implementing Regulation has yet to be developed.
Whatever the final date of enforcement may be, we will keep you informed and will carry out the relevant procedures, as we have already done in other regions.
At the European level, 2025 also brings us very positive news: our Secretary, Daniel Holmquist, is now part of the Board of Directors of CEPI in Brussels. This strengthens GIPE’s presence and voice at the European level and connects us even more closely with the decisions that affect our sector.
Looking ahead, I can tell you that 2026 will be full of new developments, which we will be announcing throughout the year. And, without a doubt, one of the most important milestones will be that GIPE will serve as host and sponsor of CEPI’s Annual General Assembly. In May, we will welcome members from 25 countries here at our headquarters in Málaga. A highly significant event that we approach with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility.
To conclude, I would simply like to thank you for your trust and encourage you to continue participating actively. Your involvement is key for GIPE to continue growing and defending the interests of real estate professionals.
I wish you peaceful and joyful holidays, surrounded by your loved ones, and a 2026 filled with health, work, and good opportunities.
Warm regards,
Alfred van Krimpen
President.
GIPE: Together we will be stronger
