Visit of the National Real Estate Association of Latvia, Lanida, to the GIPE headquarters
Last Saturday, March 29th, the headquarters of GIPE (European Professional Real Estate Managers) received a visit from a group of real estate agents from the Latvian National Real Estate Association (LANIDA), also a member of CEPI, led by Arturs Obrickis.
GIPE President Alfred van Krimpen, along with Treasurer Patrick Galiano and Administrative Assistant Lorena Rodríguez, welcomed the group to our headquarters. During the meeting, Alfred van Krimpen gave an informative talk in which he introduced our association, highlighted the professionalism of our associates, as well as the advantages and opportunities of the real estate market on the Costa del Sol, and explained the details of the property purchase process in this area.
Given the context of political and social instability in Latvia, the visitors expressed great interest in learning more about the possibilities of settling and acquiring property in Spain. They found the visit to Málaga to be an enriching experience, enjoying the sun, our culture, and customs.
The group of Latvian real estate agents was extremely kind and grateful for the welcome they received. As a token of gratitude, they presented us with several gifts. GIPE presented them with a welcome package that included informational materials and a USB flash drive with relevant information about the real estate sector in Spain.
In addition, various activities designed to strengthen ties between the two associations took place in the following days. These activities were organized by GIPE Vice President, Christofer Fogelberg, GIPE Secretary, Daniel Holmquist, and GIPE Treasurer, Patrick Galiano. These included networking meetings to explore potential future collaborations, as well as visits to some of the most iconic properties on the Costa del Sol. These visits allowed Latvian real estate agents to learn firsthand about the types of properties available, their characteristics, and the administrative procedures involved in their acquisition.
To conclude the visit, attendees enjoyed a farewell lunch at a typical Malaga restaurant, where they were able to sample local cuisine and share their impressions of their stay. This informal meeting further strengthened the ties between professionals from both countries and reaffirmed the importance of international collaboration in the real estate sector.
Below, we share a gallery with some photos and videos that capture the highlights of this very special visit.
