COMMUNITY OF OWNERS:
CAN THE VICE PRESIDENT DO SO?
In the community of owners, the current president is a neighbor who has outstanding dues. Although the other owners wish to collect the debt from him, he does not call a meeting to make the necessary decisions.
Would it be possible for the vice president to call it?
The courts consider that the vice president can assume the president’s duties when there is a conflict of interest between the president and the community, as is the case here. Therefore, the vice president is empowered to call the corresponding meeting and make the necessary decisions to enforce payment of the debt.
PROPERTY MANAGER:
YOUR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, CYBER-SECURE
Recently, new ways of conducting remote activities and businesses (such as online contracting, the use of cloud services, or teleworking) have emerged, increasing the risk of cyberattacks.
Attention! These types of threats can have very detrimental consequences for affected companies:
- On the one hand, they could be subject to financial theft or even attacks involving the hijacking of personal data.
- On the other hand, these incidents can also lead to sanctions imposed by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) if the necessary security measures are not in place to prevent them.
Guide. For this reason, the Administration, through the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), offers resources and information to help both companies and citizens protect themselves against these risks.
Note: In this regard, it has published a practical guide specifically aimed at the property management sector, which may be very useful:
