HOUSING LEASES:

Rent increase in 2025

The INE has published the new reference index for the update of housing rent (IRAV) in 2025, replacing the CPI with the aim of containing the increase in prices.

This index establishes a maximum limit for increase, but allows for lower increases to be agreed. It applies to contracts signed since May 25, 2023 or to those that already used the INE index. For the rest, the one they had agreed will remain in force.

It will be published monthly and, for January 2025, the maximum increase is 2.20%. For those that must be updated in February, the percentage that will be published in the middle of the month must be applied, and so on.

Landlords must notify tenants one month in advance before applying the update.

The usual price per module is €248, which is €1,240 in total.

The courses are between 10am and 7pm on the indicated days.

These courses will be taught in Spanish and are held in person at the GIPE headquarters.
