The Council of Ministers has just approved a Royal Decree, which aims to create the digital one-stop shop in which, from January 2, 2025, all short-term rental properties (vacation or seasonal rentals) must be registered, and have a mandatory code to be marketed on any digital platform such as Airbnb, Booking, etc.

The procedure to request the registration number will be carried out through the electronic headquarters of the College of Registrars.

In Andalusia, the decree that regulates tourist housing in the region already establishes the obligation to be registered in the Tourism Registry of Andalusia.

In view of the announced national registry, the Andalusian Government indicates that Andalusian owners will not have to make any changes to the current procedure, since it will be the Andalusian Government itself that is responsible for sending the data from the Andalusian Registry to the national one.
